Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs

The Office of Congressional & Intergovernmental Affairs (OCIA) serves as the primary point of contact with Congress, state and local governments and is responsible for the coordination of all communication and outreach with congressional and state offices, as well as ensuring a consistent message and the effective exchange of information. OCIA serves as the liaison for BOEM on all congressional, legislative and intergovernmental matters that relate to BOEM’s programs, including managing coordination with the Department of the Interior and other Federal executive agencies’ congressional and intergovernmental offices.
