Mitigation/Program Tracking Table

This tracking table has been developed to provide increased visibility into the consideration of comments and other input at each stage of the leasing process. This tool will track the lineage and treatment of suggestions for spatial inclusions and exclusions, temporal deferrals, mitigations, and other areal concerns from the Five Year Program to the lease sale phase and on to the plan phase. It provides a tool for the public to see how and at what stage of the process their concerns are being considered.

This tracking table lists the alternatives, mitigations, temporal and spatial deferrals, and other areal concerns suggested so far through public involvement opportunities during the 2012-2017 Program in the OCS, in particular in the Gulf of Mexico and offshore Alaska, that are included in the Program.

They are organized by region, including those OCS-wide. There is overlap among the individual suggestions, so some are contained within or have elements in common with other public involvement suggestions.

These suggestions will be received and considered throughout all stages of the OCS oil and gas leasing, exploration, and development process. These stages include:
