Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) Director Abigail Ross Hopper joined kindergarteners and fifth graders from Pierpont Elementary School in Ventura,California to find out. Look what they picked up in just twenty minutes! What is this stuff? Where did it come from? How did it get on the beach? What can we do to help keep our beaches clean and safe for humans and animals alike? Director Hopper and the students discussed these important questions during their recent Day of Service beach clean-up to commemorate the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
