Policy, Regulation & Analysis (OPRA) Chief - Deanna Meyer-Pietruszka
Deanna Meyer-Pietruszka is the Chief of the Office of Policy, Regulation, and Analysis for the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM). She is responsible for leading BOEM’s regulatory and policy programs and those which establish, monitor and improve BOEM’s strategic direction, accountability, compliance and performance. She provides leadership and oversight to her team who performs the broad range of duties within this far-reaching portfolio. Ms. Meyer-Pietruszka’s diverse background includes serving as a public servant and leader for Federal and State Governments in the energy, defense, transportation, and environmental arenas. Her cumulative experiences provide her the unique ability to lead on cross-cutting oil and gas, renewable energy, and marine mineral issues of national importance in her current position.
Ms. Meyer-Pietruszka is a graduate of the University of Virginia-Virginia Natural Resources Leadership Institute. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Economics and attended the Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Government.
