Privacy Act Statement – SEA (Send Word Now) Emergency Alert Messaging System
This statement provides the notice required by the Privacy Act of 1974 (5 U.S.C. § 552a(e)(3)).

Purpose: SEA allows BOEM's EM Coordinators to send alerts to staff via communications methods such as email, texts, and phone calls. SEA will be used to distribute weather alerts, facilitate evacuations, close facilities, perform employee accountability, or the like.
Routine Uses:Your contact information is provided to the Bureau/Office COOP Team members or EM Coordinators to verify members on the contact lists. Employee lists may be shared with authorized personnel for the purposes of employee accountability, recall, and other contingency operations.
