BOEM Postpones Tacoma, Washington Public Meeting for 2019-2024 National OCS Offshore Oil and Gas Leasing Program

02-05-2018

The public meeting in Tacoma, Washington scheduled for Monday, February 5, has been postponed because the venue is no longer available. We regret any inconvenience this rescheduling may cause. New information on when and where the rescheduled meeting will happen will be provided soon at www.boem.gov and through our social media sites. In the meantime, we hope people will visit our virtual public meeting room at: www.boem.gov/National-Program-Virtual-Room/.

We are committed to providing the best opportunity we can for the public to ask questions and share information about the development of the next National OCS Program. Public input is a critical part of our process and we welcome and encourage people to participate by sharing information, asking questions and discussing concerns and ideas with our staff.

Again, we regret any inconvenience this may cause.

Background

On January 4, 2018, the Department of Interior announced publication of the 2019-2024 National Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Draft Proposed Program, as well as a Notice of Intent to develop a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement.

In order to obtain public input on these two documents, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) scheduled a series of public meetings.

The entire list of public meetings and the virtual meeting room are available at https://www.boem.gov/National-Program/.
