The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) will be convening a Massachusetts Renewable Energy Task Force meeting on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Holiday Inn Cape Cod - Falmouth located at 291 Jones Road in Falmouth, Ma.
BOEM will present the details of the Massachusetts offshore wind auction held on January 29, 2015, and will explain next steps for the commercial leases. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts will also provide an update on studies and other initiatives they have conducted for the Massachusetts Wind Energy Area.
The intergovernmental session will begin at 1:00 p.m. and is expected to end by 4:00 p.m. A public question and answer session will be held after the intergovernmental session. An agenda can be found by clicking here.
As a reminder, the BOEM Massachusetts Renewable Energy Task Force is an intergovernmental group. Task force members include Federal officials and elected state, local, and tribal officials, or designated member representatives.
