Norton OCS Planning Area, 2012
The G&G Permit authorizes AuruMar to conduct high resolution, shallow geophysical activities in the Norton Sound Outer Continental Shelf Planning Area from August 31 to December 31, 2012. The survey will provide AuruMar with information about the seabed topography and near-surface sediments. Survey Area Map
- Oct. 1, 2012: The Resource Evaluation office received notice that operations under this permit are complete.
- Aug. 31, 2012: The Resource Evaluation office Of BOEM's Alaska Region issued G&G permit 12-02 to AuruMar Alaska Inc. Authorization letter with stipulations Approved Permit Forms
- July 25, 2012: AuruMar Alaska Inc. submits geophysical permit application for prospecting for minerals other than oil and gas to BOEM's Alaska Resource Evaluation office. The proposed survey will start when the permit is approved and cease no later than Dec. 31, 2012.
