WHEN: Sale 254 begins at 9 a.m. central daylight savings time (CDT) and the conference call will begin after the sale concludes – approximately at 10:30 a.m. CDT Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

Background
Tomorrow, March 18, 2020, BOEM will conduct a lease sale offering more than 78 million acres in Federal waters offshore Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida for oil and gas exploration and development. Lease Sale 254, which offers all available unleased areas in the Gulf of Mexico, will be livestreamed to the public via www.boem.gov. The bid reading begins at 9:00 AM CST.
News media representatives are invited to view the sale via the livestream and participate in a news media teleconference following the bid reading.
