The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s Gulf of Mexico Office will host the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) at the 11th meeting of the BOEM Standing Committee on Offshore Science and Assessment on November 7 and 8. The presentations will be livestreamed from New Orleans. Information on how to watch is listed below. Topics will include discussions of long-term goals for BOEM’s Office of Environmental Programs and how different Program Offices and BSEE utilize deliverables from BOEM’s Environmental Studies Program.

The committee encompasses a broad range of expertise in both natural and social sciences, relevant disciplines within those broad areas, and collective expertise from academia, industry, government, and the non- profit world in all four Outer Continental Shelf regions.
