BOEM invites you to attend the Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force for the Gulf of Maine on December 12, 2019 at the following location:

University of New Hampshire
Memorial Union Building
Strafford Room
December 12, 2019
8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

This task force will help facilitate renewable energy planning activities on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) in the Gulf of Maine. The goal of this meeting is to: 

  • Facilitate coordination and consultation among federal, state and local governments by introducing their respective roles and responsibilities regarding offshore wind energy and the renewable energy leasing process on the OCS in the Gulf of Maine.
  • Introduce the task force to the BOEM process.
  • Provide opportunities for public input about the topics being considered by the task force.

More details on speakers and the agenda will be available on our website in the coming weeks. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the meeting starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending around 5:30 p.m. Auxiliary aids and services will be provided upon request. To obtain such services, please email me by close of business on November 27, 2019.

As a reminder, this task force is an intergovernmental group. Task force members include Federal officials and elected state, local, and tribal officials, or their designated representative.
