On August 30, the Department of the Interior announced that the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) would be conducting an environmental review of a commercial-scale offshore wind project proposed by Sunrise Wind, LLC. BOEM also announced there would be  three virtual scoping meetings where stakeholders and other members of the public can learn more about the project before commenting for the record.
BOEM would like to remind you that the meeting dates and times are:

  • Thursday, September 16, 2021; 5:30 p.m. (ET)
  • Monday, September 20, 2021; 1:00 p.m. (ET)
  • Wednesday, September 22, 2021; 5:30 p.m. (ET)

As announced earlier this month, BOEM extended the comment period until 11:59 p.m. (Eastern time) on October 4, 2021.
Information on the project and how to register for the meetings is available in BOEM’s Virtual Public Scoping Room.
We hope to see you there.
