The Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), and the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management held a session at the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) North American Offshore Wind Conference and Exhibition in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Speakers presented information about the DOE/DOI Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Coordinated Deployment of Offshore Wind and Marine and Hydrokinetic Energy Technologies on the United States Outer Continental Shelf dated June 29, 2010. The presentations focused on the key initiatives set forth in the MOU and their relationship to the work of the Atlantic Offshore Wind Energy Consortium that was established in February 2010.
