The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) would like to invite you to attend a New York Renewable Energy Task Force meeting on April 28, 2016 at:

The Garden City Hotel
45 Seventh Street
Garden City, NY 11530
http://www.gardencityhotel.com/

Janice M. Schneider, Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management, U.S. Department of the Interior and Abigail Ross Hopper, Director of BOEM will be providing opening remarks for this important event.

BOEM will provide an overview of recent and upcoming milestones and activities for considering wind energy development offshore New York. Specifically, BOEM will present the details of a draft Proposed Sale Notice (PSN) for Task Force review and comment. The PSN is a public notice that BOEM will publish later this year in the Federal Register for a 60-day public comment period that solicits public input on an offshore wind auction (i.e., lease sale) for an area in Federal waters offshore New York.

Registration for this meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m., and the meeting is expected to end by 2:30 p.m. A public question and answer session will be held upon its conclusion.

For awareness, the BOEM New York Renewable Energy Task Force is an intergovernmental group. Task Force members include Federal officials and elected state, local, and tribal officials, or designated member representatives. For more information about BOEM's renewable energy efforts offshore New York, go to: http://www.boem.gov/New-York/.

Please contact me by close of business April 25, 2016, if you will require auxiliary services or special accommodation for this meeting.
