Chronology
November 26, 2024: BOEM approves a request by Beta Operataing Companay, LLC (Beta Offshore) to relinquish the Geological and Geophysical (G&G) survey permit issued on December 7, 2017 (BOEM Permit No. C17-001).
August 26, 2018: Beta Offshore is currently obtaining additional information for use in BOEM's pending environmental review.
February 21, 2018: BOEM conducted a completeness review of the G&G Application and deemed the G&G application submitted (complete). The proposed survey is designated OCS Permit C17-001. BOEM has commenced a compliance review, part of which is to develop a National Environmental Policy Act document to analyze the potential environmental effects of the proposal.
December 12, 2017: Beta Operating Company, LLC (Beta Offshore) submitted an Application for a Permit to conduct a 3D seismic survey on the Beta Unit (comprised of leases OCS-P 0296, OCS-P 0300, OCS-P 0301, and OCS-P 0306 respectively).
